Paintings or Prints?
Steve Keene is a New York based artist who paints in multiples. Instead of painting the image once and then over again, he paints many at the same time. Though it is the same painting, it is unique from all of those produced at the exact same time. Without a doubt they are "multiples," but are they also prints or paintings? Or both? Are they worth the $21 he charges for 5 "medium to small sized" ones? or maybe more, less?
